Materials 2

Materials level 2

For every book we explain what the book is about, for which age group it is targeted and questions you can discuss in a group.

All books can be used in English lessons for newly arrived immigrants and those who already know some English, independently of age. You can also use these books as help to teach Swedish or Bulgarian, parallel with the Swedish– or Bulgarian-language books.

The books on level 2 are more advanced than level 1, not only in terms of language, but also topics. They discuss society, environmental and other important issues, which often appear in the teenage years, and they encourage to think for yourself and create your own values.

The Philip books on level 2 are discussion material for values, morals and ethics. Philip is now a teenager and his friendship, classmates and family are focused on.

The persons in the books are realistic, multi-faceted and never completely good or bad, and mainly they are created in a way so that they can be discussed. The situations in the books have all real background.

The natural science books contain several levels. They seem to tell about one thing, but at the end the true topic is discovered. You can first read the key at the end and then the story, or vice versa. If you read the text first, we recommend that you use the explanations parallel for maximum effect when learning.

If you copy the materials on paper, please add an acknowledgement: (c) Bokpil and this year. Thank you!
